One of the most important components of any instrument is the neck. The ergonomics of the neck should be adjusted perfectly to the needs of the musician. Stability and performance of the neck are of paramount importance.
Warwick has developed unique solutions over the years that address such demands. Warwick necks feature optimum resonance, ergonomics and stability and are world renown for their durability.
Neck and fingerboard wood

Every Warwick neck has a multi-stripe laminate construction. This means that several different pieces and types of wood laminated together, ensuring high stability and minimizing the risk of neck-deformations. 4-string models have a 3-stripe lamination, 5-string models have a 4-stripe lamination and 6-string models have a 5-stripe laminated neck. The wood stripes run continuous to the headstock, which means the slightly angled headstock is not glued separately, thus minimizing the risk of breakage.
Warwick uses hand-selected tone-woods that are air-dried over the course of many years. The remaining humidity of the wood is measured before the glueing. That ensures that only optimally dried wood stripes with an exactly equal humidity get glued. This is another guarantor for the neck stability.

Neck constructions
Every Warwick Bass, no matter if bolt-on or neck-through, is equipped with a 2-way trussrod. This allows a perfect neck-adjustment independent from the string-setup.
In addition to that, every neck is reinforced with 2 steel braces from the 11th to the 19th fret. This allows solid neck-body-transitions which enables the player to reach much higher fingerboard regions than on usual instruments.
The following neck-body-constructions are possible depending on the model.
Bolt-on
Body and neck are crafted independently. The neck is screwed into the neck pocket (example: Corvette Standard).
Set Neck
Body and neck are crafted independently. The neck is glued into the neck pocket (example: Star Bass II).
Neck-through
The neck goes completely through the whole body here and is visible from the front and the backside. The wings of the body are glued on (example: Vampyre NT).
Neck-through hidden neck
The neck goes completely through the body, but is only visible from the backside. The neck is about half as thick as the body (example: Streamer Stage II).
Neck Scale:
The scale is the clearance between the nut and the saddle. (free running part of the string)
30,75" short scale - only available as Custom Shop feature for Bolt-on instruments
32" medium scale - only available for Alien, Jonas Hellborg Signature and as Custom Shop feature for Bolt-on instruments
