Following the example of the Original Oberkrainer Robert Marzel started his career as a professional musician already at the age of 19. Then the first CD production started in 1989.

Born in 1969, Robert attended music school in 1984 and learned baritone-euphonium, guitar, accordeon, trombone and double bass. Soon enough he decided to become a professional musician and already played like one with the Slovenian Quintet (1991-1996), Franz Mihelic (1996-2001) as well as with Mik Soss, Franz Koschir, Albin Rudan and Oliver Dragojevic.

When Slavko Avsenik retired from the stage in 1991, luckily the double bass of the then Framus endorser and bassist of the Original Oberkrainer Mik Soss came into Robert's possession. Since then this instrument was played approximately 2,000 times on all kinds of concert stages and over 20 times on CD productions.

Robert had the honor to participate in a studio project of Slavko Avsenik in 2004 and his Streamer Stage I has never let him down in his work as a session player, producer and coach, he adds.

Robert plays in the Mitja Kvintet together with Mitja Mastank (guitar).
